GirlFriend... Im Just asking What kinda woman are Black men attracted to?

Mood: State of Confusion

Girlfriend I'm just asking.... Has the game changed? What are Bruthas really looking for? and do we really have what they are looking for?

So, I was talking with multiple male friends of mine and they all had very similar stories... and it was really shocking to hear what they were saying...
All of them were in relationships with black women for multiple years.
All of them claim they took care of their women mentally , emotionally and financially saying their girl didn't want for anything one even said his girl had a monthly allowance of 12-hundred a month.
But here is where stuff goes down hill... Each of them said... their girl NEVER cleaned.. NEVER cooked.. Complained a lot... and some didn't even work...

THIS LEFT ME IN A STATE OF CONFUSION.....

So i asked... why did you stay?
All of them responded the same way ... They loved her... they were comfortable..they invested so much they didn't want to let go.

NOW.... as a result of these horrible relationships All these guys either have commitment issues or have turned their back on black women as a whole...

SO I ASKED....

Why don't you want to date black girls anymore?
and this was the response...
They like to argue...
They are ungrateful...
They don't know how to let a man be a man...

MY NEXT QUESTION WAS SO WHAT DO YOU GET WHEN DATING WOMEN OF OTHER RACES THAT YOU DON'T GET FROM BLACK WOMEN?

I heard... this " When i am in a relationship with a Hispanic or Caucasian woman... its less confrontational. The house is clean, my dinner cooked and I see more smiles then frowns"

REALLY?

So my questions to my Sistah is...
WHAT DA HELL IS GOING ON?
Are some of us really out here keeping a dirty houses?
Not taking care of our men?
Using and abusing?
Are we quick to Argue but less likely to talk about things like a rational adult?

ON ANOTHER NOTE -- BUT NOT OFF TOPIC...

Black girls we need to step up when it comes to our bodies.
we are QUICK TO PICK UP A 200 DOLLAR OUTFIT, PUT RIMS ON OUR CARS, BUY WEAVES COSTING HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS but we WONT invest in our bodies.
when I'm at the gym @ 7 am its full of women... but only a few are black women...
we lead in Heart Disease, High Blood Pressure & Diabetes...

YES IT TRUE Not everyone is meant to be a size zero BUT everyone should be a size HEALTHY!

So in conclusion... Sistahs we are ALWAYS complaining about there is NO GOOD BLACK MEN OUT THERE.... but are we doing what it take to Get a GOOD MAN and Keep Him?

Lemme Know what you think?

Girlfriend... Im just asking ... Do you know what works for you?

Girlfriend I'm just asking.... Do you have a realistic view of your physical appearance.

I see a lot of "Hot Messes" walking around and i think a lot of it is due to lack of what i like to call "BODY AWARENESS".

I see women walking in da mall or in the club and i say to myself "What was she thinking?"

Ladies we Must keep it Real with ourselves -- First and Foremost..... Everything that is in style does not mean its meant for our body type.

For example... I love high waisted jeans but it doesn't look good on me... I'm not very Hippy and my butt isn't that big.
This style looks better on a "Pear Shaped" woman.

Secondly ladies learn you to Accentuate the Positives and Camouflage the Negatives.
For examples... my positives are my boobs and legs.
so when out I try to wear things that show them off... a little cleavage and some shorts does the trick.
I'm AWARE that i don't have washboard abs so i DON'T wear mid-drift tops of spandex tops
I'm Also aware that my arms aren't that toned so i stay away from spaghetti straps or things that show my Lil jiggle.

Thirdly ladies Embrace your complexion....
When purchasing make-up.... make sure you purchase the right color foundation or powder.
Certain make-up trends might not fit your face or complexion.
For me i love to see beautiful make-up! its so girly! but i also know for my complexion i should stay with more earth tones like, brown, gold, cream, black, gray and light pinks and rose color shadows.

When using make-up REMEMBER it is meant to ENHANCE your beauty NOT give you a whole new face... So keep it natural.

Things you should try and avoid.

A.) Try not to draw on your eyebrows (nothings wrong with shading them in) BUT don't shave them off just to draw them back on.

B.) Eye shadows are great and can make your eyes pop... BUT KEEP IN MIND there is a BIG DIFFERENCE between daytime and night time make up. At 2pm in the afternoon your eyelids shouldn't be look like disco balls. So keep it simple.

C.) Lipstick/ Lip gloss.... if you aren't sure about how you will look in a shape put someone your hand... whatever you see if what others will see when its on your face... so if their is a LOUD and WRONG contrast more then likely it isn't for you.

** if all else fails... throw on some black liner, mascara, and a sheer lip gloss... just enough to get you noticed without trying TOO HARD!

Last But Not Least
A lot of women where weaves.....
Like anything else in life you get what you pay for.
buy some synthetic or cheap weave your hair will look a mess PLAIN AND SIMPLE.
Invest in some GOOD hair that you can wash and take care of as if it was yours and your Hair will turn heads in a GOOD WAY...

So in conclusion Girlfriend when it comes to your outer appearance KEEP IT REAL WITH YOURSELF and remember just cause it came in your size doesn't mean it was meant for you.
